Where to start? Firstly, I love the sense of community on Tumblr, because even if you’re not in the same fandom as someone you will most likely have something in common with them. Also, I love how you can obsess freely over something and no one questions it.
The thing I love most though, is that there are people on here who understand me. My friends at college, yes they are amazing people and I love them all, but they don’t understand why I love what is just “a book series” to them so much. Harry Potter might be just a book to them, but they don’t understand that for me, it isn’t. They don’t understand that these books have been my rock since I was 7 years old, and still are now. They don’t know that after I spent every day in school from the age of 7 upwards being bullied, I would come home and read, just to get away from it all. And more often than not, the book I chose would be Harry Potter. Just because it’s one of those books where you can completely lose yourself in it, no matter how old you are. It always has been and always will be my favourite book series, and my friends don’t understand that.
It doesn’t matter if it’s the one who hates Harry Potter and says that JK Rowling is the worst writer ever, or if it’s the friends who are fans and are obsessed with as well. They will never understand my love of the world that Jo Rowling created.
And that is what I love about Tumblr. The people here do understand my love, and nearly always share it. I’m so glad I decided to make an account, because I’ve spoken to some amazing people on here

OMG YES DFGFDJGIOP
